Company Milestones

Cyclone Power Technologies is the developer and international rights holder of the Cyclone Engine, an award-wining, environmentally clean engine that is powerful and compact enough for virtually any application, from small garden tools to industrial power generation, heavy construction equipment, passenger and commercial vehicles, and maritime vessels.

The Company’s business objective is to bring its multiple engines to pre-production prototype stage and license the technology to manufacturers in multiple industries for diverse applications throughout the world. 

Cyclone’s recent milestones and business achievements include:

  • 7/11 Filed Form 10 with Securities and Exchange Commission to become fully-reporting company
  • 6/11 Signed Letter of Intent with leading global materials lift equipment manufacturer, Combilift
  • 5/11 Received key Patent on Waste Energy Recycling Engine (WHE)
  • 4/11 Raytheon Company places $400,000 order for multiple engines to power Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUVs)
  • 3/11 Global manufacturing leader, TopLine Automotive, signs Letter of Understanding to build Cyclone Engines
  • 2/11 Successfully completed third R&D project for Raytheon Company
  • 12/10 Powered-up small-scale Waste Heat Recovery pilot at Bent Glass manufacturing facility
  • 3/10: Shipped biomass-to-power generator system in completion of DARPA contract.
  • 12/09: Completed license agreement with Great Wall Alternative Energy for biomass-to-power systems in China.
  • 10/09: Completed and validated Mark II engine performance testing for Raytheon Company
  • 9/09: Began testing first-ever portable biomass-to-power generator system
  • 8/09: Completed initial (alpha) prototype Mark II electric generator engine; achieved greater than 30% thermal efficiencies and power output exceeding 20HP
  • 7/09: Signed license agreement with Phoenix Power Group (US) to develop electric power generation systems that run on waste motor oil
  • 5/09: Signed license agreement with Renovalia Energy SA, of Madrid, Spain, to develop high-efficiency solar thermal engines (Cyclone Solar I).
  • 2/09: Completion of first Phase of Testing for the Raytheon Company under R&D contract
  • 1/09: Chosen to participate in Phase II DARPA project to develop engine for robotic vehicles
  • 1/09: Receives order for prototype “man-portable” 80W generator sets -- the Genie -- from licensee Advent (for use by British military to recharge computer batteries in field)
  • 6/08: Awarded R&D Contract from the Raytheon Company
  • 6/08: Receives U.S. Patent for steam generator – integral component of Cyclone Engine
  • 5/08: Cyclone Engine named 2008 Invention of the Year by Popular Science Magazine
  • 5/08: Files Disclosure Statement with Pink Sheets to become Current Reporting company
  • 4/08: Named Environmental Business of the Year by the Environmental Protection Department of Broward County, FL, where the Company resides
  • 6/06: Receives U.S. patent for Cyclone Engine
  • 2004: Company formed in Florida as limited liability limited partnership
